Fresh from a near-death experience, now with new leadership, San Diego Opera will join the Dallas Opera as a co-producer of “Great Scott,” a new opera by composer Jake Heggie and librettist Terrence McNally. The opera will open the Dallas Opera’s 2015-2016 season and travel to San Diego the following season.
The two companies previously partnered on Heggie’s “Moby-Dick,” premiered here in 2010, and Tobias Picker’s “Therese Raquin” (2001)
